PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency

We participate in the ASHP Resident Matching Program

  • Two residents per year
  • July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013

For your application to be considered complete, we must receive items in the checklist below by January 15, 2012. 

 

Pay and Benefits

  • $42,000/year salary
  • Medical, dental and life insurance available
  • 3 weeks of PTO (will be used for holidays and 1/2 of time off for meeting attendance

Internal Medicine (1 month)
Pediatric Critical Care (1 month)
Infectious Disease (1 month)
Critical Care (2 months)
Pharmacy Practice (1 month/longitudinal)
Drug Information (longitudinal)
Medication Safety (longitudinal)
Pharmacy Administration (longitudinal)

Elective Rotations

Trauma/Surgery/Bariatrics (1 month)
Neurology (1 month)
Neonatal ICU (1 month)
Oncology/Peds Oncology (1 month)
CVICU (1 month)
Cardiology (1 month)
Anticoagulation Management (1 month)
Pediatrics (1 month)
Nutrition Support (1 month)
Or repeat any core rotation

 

Additional Resident Staffing Requirements/Responsibilities/Assignments

  • Staff every other weekend in pharmacy
  • Additional 8 hours each month on second shift
  • 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday
  • BLS and ACLS certification (opportunity provided on site)
  • Attendance at ASHP Midyear meeting
  • Research project with presentation at regional conference
